Tom Egan

I started volunteering as a radio presenter at Sheffield Hospital Radio in September 2010 on the Saturday lunchtime request show with Paul Hibberd. I collect songs from the wards and then play them on returning to the studio. These songs are usually pop and rock songs.

Throughout the years I've collected vital funds for the charity as it costs us several thousand pounds a year to run the charity, and I’ve also attended various Annual General meetings and Ordinary General meeting throughout my time at SHR.

I've placed various collection tins at several outlets in Sheffield to raise vital funds for the station. I still have tremendous fun and admiration presenting shows, as I believe our listeners also have fun whilst listening to us and music can make you feel happy within yourself.

I'm also looking forward to the future with our new online streaming service as we will reach a wider audience.
