Hi, I'm John!

I've reached that point in life where I'm officially described as being in my mid-30s. I'm a massive geek and get great satisfaction from watching Thunderbirds, Knight Rider and plenty of other classic favourites. Somehow I also managed to convince a wonderful lady called Claire to marry me, and together we have three amazing children – Ellie, Violet and Joseph.

I've been a huge fan of radio for many years and have worked at several radio stations across South Yorkshire. There's something incredibly special about pressing play and knowing that, somewhere, someone will be happy with the song that's just come on.

I'm also a huge football fan and love both modern and classic cars – to be honest, anything with wheels! Music has always been a big part of my life too, which certainly helps when you're on the radio. I can play the violin (not very well), the guitar (also not very well) and the drums (definitely not very well!). My wife regularly tells me off for drumming on the table with my fingers a little too much.
